Many companies often make movements to revive interest in a particular product—especially flagship devices. Apple is one of the firms that resorts to practices such as releasing new colors for its iPhones after at least six months on the market. However, everything indicates that the Cupertino giant will omit new color options for its latest iPhone 16 lineup.
The iPhone 16 is available in a wide range of colors to suit almost all tastes. That said, there are colors that Apple has implemented in the past and could be interesting to have in its latest generation of smartphones. The “(PRODUCT)RED” variants especially stand out due to their striking look. There have also been some special shades of existing colors, such as green or purple. We have even seen iPhones in a strident yellow hue.
New color options for the iPhone 16 series seem unlikely
However, there are currently no rumors or news about potential new color options for the iPhone 16. Apple used to release these new options between March and April. The company did so with the iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8/iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 12/iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 13/iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro/iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 14/iPhone 14 Plus. Therefore, it appears unlikely that Apple will introduce new color variants for the iPhone 16 series anytime soon.
The vanilla and Plus iPhone 16 models are available in colors like black, white, teal, pink, and ultramarine. That leaves room for potential green, yellow, purple, or even (PRODUCT)RED variants. But it seems Apple isn’t willing to do that, at least for now. It’s noteworthy that the company has already skipped launching new colors for the iPhone 15 series.
Apple may want to focus on its new iPhone 16e. The company is promoting the device as a way to enjoy the iPhone 16 experience at a lower price. That said, the smartphone may have more compromises compared to the iPhone 16 models than you think. Plus, it’s only available in two colorways: black and white.
